HEATING & COOLING WITH GEOTHERMAL ENERGY
In addition to the primary purpose of using geothermal energy for heating, it is also possible to use geothermal energy for cooling. The operating principle can be reversed in summer, allowing excess heat to be released downwards. Depending on the location, the temperature at a depth of 200 meters averages 15°C. Compared to conventional air conditioning systems, there is no longer any need to combat the high outside temperature, which can lead to significant energy savings. This additional benefit represents a significant advantage over other heating systems
